Circle Line Cruises to South Street Seaport

New York - NY   I's a marriage made in tourism heaven! The South Street Seaport Museum (the Seaport) is now the home of two of Circle Line's most recent and exciting additions, the Shark - a 70 foot high speed thrill boat and the luxurious ZEPHYR, crown jewel of the Circle Line fleet.   

Partnering with the Seaport was a natural fit for the company's two third generation owners J.B. Meyer and Kevin Moran.  "The South Street Seaport Museum and Circle Line share a rich history in New York City," said Meyer.  "Solidifying this relationship is another example of our commitment to downtown (New York)."

In a move that brings the magic of the 50+ year - old nautical tour giant to one of New York City's most famous tourist destinations, the Shark and the ZEPHYR offer distinctly different, though equally enjoyable, ways to experience downtown Manhattan.  The festive Shark captures the energy and excitement that has come to embody New York City in a 30 minute tour that screams through Upper New York Bay and the East River at speeds of up to 35 miles per hour.  A treat for those with a sense of adventure, the Shark ploughs through showers of waves, allowing up to 149 guests to take in dazzling views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island, and the New York skyline as they are delivered within feet of the Statue of Liberty. 

Initially launched on the 50^th anniversary of the Circle Line, the ZEPHYR offers a stylish alternative to cruising downtown Manhattan.  The three tiered luxury catamaran offers stunning views of Wall Street and the Empire State Building, a breathtaking sail beneath the belly of the Brooklyn Bridge and a majestic up-close view of Lady Liberty. The speed of the ZEPHYR allows up to 600 guests to see over 2 hours worth of views and sights in 1 hour - during a luxurious yet affordable cruise through New York Harbor.

The ZEPHYR is also the perfect place to get a jump start on the weekend.  Every Thursday through September 9^th, the ZEPHYR will offer a special "Happy Hour on the Harbor" cruise.  Guests can board at either Paulus Hook Pier in Jersey City at 6:00 PM or the South Street Seaport's Pier 16 at 6:30 PM for the two hour round - trip sail aboard the city's most luxurious sightseeing vessel. 

ZEPHYR and Shark, as well as several other Circle Line vessels, are available for private charters.
